SUGAR’S FOUNDATION AT A GLANCE
A Distinct Identity
Sugar’s Foundation is short for Sugars Endangered Native Hawaii Wildlife Conservation and Animal Foundation, and we stand for all animal and wildlife on the Lower East Rift Zone (LERZ) of Hawaii Island, a threatened ecological wonderland throughout the Kalapana-Pohoiki coastal Highway areas of Puna .
The LERZ is currently going through Kilauea recovery stages from a very destructive volcanic eruption in 2018, Fissure 8 ; Leilani Estates, and Sugars Foundation was created to ensure the preservation, conservation and protection of the endangered species (we are the endangered species capital of the world) in these threatened recovery areas , and to be good human stewards of our land and community down in the coastal areas of Puna , while advocating for the humane treatment of our companion and farm animals.
Within Sugar’s Foundation lies Sugar’s Farm Animal Sanctuary, a safe haven for farm animals that otherwise wouldn’t have a chance at a good life .
OUR PROJECTS
The Focus of Our Efforts
farm animal rescue Services
We all deserve a chance
Through our rescue Services, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the community. This is one of our key areas of focus here at Sugar’s Foundation, and a source of much success for our Animal Sanctuary. Get in touch with us today if you have a farm animal in need of rescue that would otherwise end up in slaughter or hazardous living conditions. We are in-taking chickens/ducks/turkeys/rabbits/fish/goats/cows as far as the sanctuary space allows (SMALL SCALE SANCTUARY)
